Okay, so after all the effort to get this place up and running, we want to make this place active and alive, and for that that we want your help. So let's have out first little competition here. We're going to do this raffle style, each entry gets you 'tickets' into the draw for the grand prize so the more tickets you get the more likely you are to win. You'll have 6 weeks to earn as many as you can, and if we get enough feedback we might just make the grand prize a little larger. And I'm not taling about giving you free sketches here, for this I'm looking at giving away real life things away. That's right. If you win you'll get a package or goodies in the mail.
Grand Prize
1. One donated item from Mea'eshana (So far considering something from Eitanya's Shop on Etsy or Ningen Headwear on Etsy - custom hat in your choice of colors, worth approximately value $30 depending)
2. One bag of mixed gems from The Dragon's Hoard Crystal Shop worth about $30 depending.

Rules:
These are simple, all you need to do to be eligible to enter is 3 things:
1. Must be fully registered on the site here - Registration is free and gives you full access to the forums as well as all the other fun stuff around the site. If you're not signed up go ahead and do it now, we're gonna make it worth your while.
2. Must me a member of the facebook group - If that's not how you found the place then feel free to click the "Facebook" link at the top of the site there and you'll be taken directly to our group page, then just click on the "Request to Join" button and you're in.
3. Must create at least 1 post in both places so we know you're active. We love to know you're here, so head over to the forums and introduce yourself, and say hi to the 1500+ members of the group. We're easy to make friends with I assure you.
4. Make one post in the official competition thread - All you need to include is your Fur name, your Facebook name, and location (at least city, state, or country) and on the off chance that someone referred you to us, their name so we can give them a bonus for bringing you along.
How to earn tickets:
Each task gives you one or more entries into the raffle; the more you do to advertise us/make this place active, the more chances you have to win. Create a post in the Official Competition Thread and every time you complete a task post a link so that we can verify your entry and you'll be credited with tickets.
So far, the things you can do are as follows:
Forum Registration - 1 entry
Facebook Registration - 1 entry
OCT Forum Post - 1 entry
Completed FL.me profile - 5 entries (all fields need not be filled, but a decent amount of information would be appreciated, this let's us know that you're actually interested in being here and that you're going to stick around for long enough to make friends with us all.)
FA Journal linking to us/advertising us - 5 entry
FB Post linking to us/advertising us - 5 entries
Other link on any other site anywhere - 5 entries
Writing an article for us*1 - 10 entries
Submitting a weblink for us*2 - 1 entry
Referring a member*3 - 1 entry
Recruiting an active member*4 - 5 entries

All money will first and foremost go to running the site; the cost of hosting, the domain, and perhaps even buying some paid upgrades for y'all. Anything left over will go to upping the prize pool. However, that's not necessary to enter the competition... this bit is just for those of you who help us out. <3
Entries will be open until 7pm (Aussie CST) on the 29th of April, 2012. That means you have 6 weeks to get your entries validated. Anything posted after that time won't be eligible but it will be appreciated.

Images directly uploaded to Furrylife.me data base will be moved to an external gallery, We don't mind people uploading but for now while we work the small bug's with images can we please keep them else where like tinypic.

EDIT: Come on guys, you have already been asked once, and are now going to be reminded about it. DO NOT UPLOAD PICTURES to the Furrylife.me server. We have a limited amount of space, and a limited amount of bandwidth and we should not have to resort to disabling the ability to post images completely but we may have no choice. All images will now be DELETED if they're found to be on the server. If this means that an intro post for any topic with a pic uploaded to our server can be deleted outright. If the picture is the topic of conversation and is uploaded to our server the topic is simply going to be removed. You have been warned.Spike should not have to move them to tinypic (etc) FOR you.
Do it yourself. If you repeatedly ignore this request you will lose your ability to post.

Welcome to FurryLife.me... This group started as a facebook group, but it's now one of the largest there is there, and so it's been put into an even larger format for your enjoyment. Here you'll find a few more options then FaceBook allows, such as proper forums for posting, a gallery for sharing your artwork, a blog system and a PM system, and if you're a writer you can request permission to upload and share your stories and essays with everyone via the articles section. We request that all poetry be kept to the forums section specifically for that, and although there is a gallery option please do not abuse it. Try to keep all images PG13+ (Suitable for all ages), and insert links where available on the forums. There will be a set of rules and regulations available in the articles section, as well as on the forums, and an FAQ will be created as we go to answer the most pressing questions. If you come across any glitches, bugs or other general weirdness please contact either Mea'eshana or Spike Shadowfang with as much information as you can provide... and failing that please email webmaster at furrylife dot me with as much as you can provide and they'll get back to you as soon as they can. We take all errors seriously no matter how small they may be. Other then that please just make sure you register... do not include spaces in your user-name, however, once your registration has been completed you'll be able to put in a first and last name and select to use that around the site if you prefer, so don't be disheartened by that rule. Provide a vaild email address so we can note you with super-important information (because we swear that's all it's going to be used for), and just keep coming back to read updates, make furry friends, and have a ton of fun. Well, there you have it... one week... 67 members, 56 topics, and 570-something posts in the space of a week. That's an awesome set of numbers if you ask me. Thank you guys for joining and for making this place so homely already. It's a great honour to have you all, and I hope that over the upcoming weeks, months, and years this place only gets bigger and better as we go. Please do keep suggesting features and forums you'd like to see, keep up the posting, and keep having fun. If there's anything specific you'd like to see please let us know... the moderators and admins are always available via PM if you don't wish to sound your idea publicly in the suggestions box, and we take everything into consideration no matter how large or small a change it might be. We once again encourage you to read the rules and regulations as set out in the FAQ articles, or available through the "Rules" link at the top of the forum. They clearly set out what is and isn't allowed around this place, as well as the punishment for disobeying should you purposefully ignore it. We also encourage you to contact us if you have a web link you think should be added (or a category of weblinks you'd like to see), as well and if you have any articles you'd welcome on the front page... something you've written that you think would benefit the community such as Jaga's article on what furry is. Anyone that feels the might have something to contribute on a weekly/monthly basis is also welcome to talk to one/all of us about getting "Publisher" status so that they can upload their articles without having to go through a mod as well. For now, I'm off to celebrate Mother's Day with my wonderful family, and I hope that you all enjoy a wonderful day of your own with your respective families... be they RL or Online. Family is important no matter who you are, how good or bad they are, or where in the world they currently reside. Family are who make us and break us, teach s life's lessons one way or another, and the ones who are going to be there in the end.
